Pádraig Ó Tuama - 50 Poems to Open Your World

In conversation with Yousif M. Qasmiyeh

Saturday 24th September, 5-6pm

William Morris Tent

£15/£17.50

Based on his Poetry Unbound podcast which has been downloaded over six million times, poet and theologian Pádraig Ó Tuama offers commentary and personal anecdotes alongside live readings.

For anyone who has wanted to try their hand at a conversation with poetry but doesn’t know where to start, this event with Pádraig encourages an understanding and appreciation of contemporary verse, presenting a window through which to celebrate the art of being alive.

Pádraig will be joined by Yousif M. Qasmiyeh, a Palestinian poet and translator born and educated in Baddawi refugee camp in Lebanon, now based in Britain. His debut poetry collection, Writing the Camp was published last year, and he is also writer-in-residence of the Refugee Hosts research project.
