Our Friends create culture!

Together, we welcomed 20,000 people, young and old, featured 100+ exceptional events, and brought some of the world’s most influential authors, thinkers and performers to your doorstep. From Jung Chang to Lemn Sissay, Elif Shafak and Lady Hale, Irvine Welsh to Misan Harriman, the Festival is now firmly established as one of London’s most important cultural institutions.

Wimbledon BookFest is an arts and education charity working at the heart of our community.
Your support will help to secure the Festival’s future, enabling us to continue bringing world-class arts and literature events to Merton, and will power our education work with local schools, helping to improve rates of literacy and reading for pleasure across South London.

There are many ways to get involved with Wimbledon BookFest, from a one-off donation, becoming a Friend or Benefactor or through company sponsorship.

You can help us secure our future by:

Reasons to Support

Ensuring This Excellence Thrives

As a community, we are proud to host a festival that delivers cultural experiences of international calibre on your doorstep. With your help, we can continue to bring the brightest minds and most exciting voices to you —voices that challenge, inspire, and enrich our lives.

Inspiring the Next Generation

Children from over 70 South London schools joined BookFest events this year, and a record 72 schools took part in the Young Writers Competition. Your donation directly supports literacy, creativity and aspiration for thousands of young people.

Strengthening Our Cultural Future

By supporting BookFest, you ensure that our community remains a beacon of culture, curiosity and connection in an increasingly digital world—one where live storytelling still has the power to bring us together.
