Toby Wilkinson: Tutankhamun’s Trumpet

The Story of Ancient Egypt in 100 Objects

Saturday 11 June, 12:00-1:00pm

Robert Graves Tent

Calling all lovers of history, archaeology, art and culture, as well as all those fascinated by the mysterious world of the pharaohs!

Toby Wilkinson’s family event coincides with the 100th anniversary of the moment that Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon broke open Tutankhamun’s Tomb. Instead of concentrating on the well-worn subject of the discovery, Professor Wilkinson will look at the objects buried with the boy-king to tell the story of Ancient Egypt.
