University education in this country has become embroiled in a confusing web of government policy and legislation. David Willetts, who served as the Minister for Universities and Science during the coalition, is the author of A University Education, an honest appraisal of higher education from one of its keenest supporters.
Paul O’Prey, is one of the longest standing Vice-Chancellors in the country and had led the University of Roehampton through the changing models of univerity education. He sits on the board of Universities UK and is chair of their Longer Term Strategy Group.
A History graduate from the University of Roehampton, Jack De France was President of Roehampton Students’ Union from 2016 - 18. Since 2013 Jack has held various roles representing the student side of university life, having been involved in student politics at local and national levels. Jack joined university alongside the first generation of students who paid £9,000 tuition fees and was a delegate to the National Union of Students’ annual conferences 2015 - 18.
Join us for what looks to be a lively and informative debate on one of the hot topics of our times.
