Award winner and Booker nominee.
Jane spent a number of years living in
Wimbledon, which has been an inspiration
for many of her characters. Today she will
be in conversation with Neel Mukherjee,
writer of
The Lives of Others
and a huge
fan of Jane’s work. He has described Jane
as ‘one of the finest living writers in the
English language’.
Wimbledon BookFest
will be launching the
Jane Gardam Short
Story Prize
at the event to honour her
contribution to the form.
