The genius of Countdown’s dictionary corner Susie Dent is the master of the English language. Lexicographer and etymologist by training, she has spent 30 years on our screens explaining the history and origin of words.
In this word-perfect event, suitable for anyone and everyone who loves words, Susie is on a mission to spread uplifting and unifying words and phrases to bring people together. So come on a coddiwomple with BookFest to learn more about the language that unites us rather than divides us. Susie will be in conversation with editorial director, presenter, interviewer and columnist Gaby Huddart.
