Sue Prideaux: Gauguin

Wild Thing: A Life of Paul Gauguin

The highly acclaimed biographer Sue Prideaux presents her latest book – a vital account of the trail blazing and controversial artist, Paul Gauguin.

In this illustrated talk, Sue will re-examine Gauguin’s life and the people, places and ideas that shaped his vision. Drawing from new material and access to the artist’s family, this myth-busting work invites us to see him anew. Sue Prideaux’s book has been longlisted for the 2024 Baillie Gifford Prize for Non Fiction.
