The Poet Faiz's Daughter: Art & Activism

Esteemed Pakistani multidisciplinary artist, Salima Hashmi not only confronts oppressive structures but has also shaped a legacy that continues to inform discussions on art, activism, and resistance throughout the Global South.
Daughter of one of the most iconic figures in Pakistani culture, the legendary poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Salima Hashmi joins television and radio presenter Nikki Bedi to talk about her father’s legacy and her own work, in which art intersects with postcolonial struggles and worldwide power hierarchies.
