Lynda La Plante

Getting Away with Murder

Crime writing royalty, smasher of glass ceilings and author of over 40 bestselling novels Lynda La Plante reflects on a phenomenally successful career.

From her early days in Liverpool to becoming a BAFTA award-winning writer and producer, Lynda regales with her tales of stage and screen. Still at the very top of her game, Lynda shares her story on her own terms and talks about her new crime series.

Lynda will be in conversation with Joe Haddow — BBC Radio 2 producer, writer of middle-grade fiction and non-fiction, podcast host, and drummer.

‘Lynda La Plante practically invented the thriller.’
Karin Slaughter

Lynda La Plante is a member of The Crime Thriller Awards Hall of Fame and because of her meticulous research and authenticity is the only lay person to be made a fellow of The Forensic Science Society. Her novels have all been international bestsellers. Her original script for the much-acclaimed Prime Suspect won awards from BAFTA, Emmy, British Broadcasting and Royal Television Society as well as the 1993 Edgar Allan Poe Award. Lynda has written and produced over 170 hours of international television.
