Ed Davey MP

Why I Care: And Why Care Matters

Ed Davey has real knowledge of the emotional, physical and financial challenges faced by legions of carers in Britain today, as he shares his deeply personal story of his own experiences as carer to his mother and then his son.

Shedding light on the often-invisible world of the millions of carers who form the backbone of our communities, Ed calls for society,  government and our institutions to recognise, support and lift up the silent carers and to reform the sector through his own story and those of countless others.  Ed will be in conversation with journalist and activist Sam Carlisle.

‘For Ed Davey, politics really is personal.’
