The Missing Thread

Through new examination of sources combined with vivid storytelling, Daisy Dunn will show us the ancient world through fresh eyes, placing the real heroines at the heart of the narrative.

Spanning 3,000 years, this new history of classical antiquity told, for the very first time, through women, illuminates the stories of those who have been so often pushed to history’s sidelines.

‘Coming out of the shadows, so many human faces, from Homer to Agrippina, from Lucretia to Cleopatra. Our vision of antiquity will never be quite the same again.’ – A. N. Wilson

Chairing this event will be  Rachel Wang, co-founder and director of Chocolate Films, a trustee of the National Portrait Gallery and member of BAFTA Film Committee.
