Advanced Creative Writing Course
Three week writing course
This is an advanced writing workshop, open to participants of last year’s Creative Writing workshops. For other courses, see here.
Wimbledon BookFest – in partnership with the University of Roehampton – are delighted to be returning with our creative writing workshops this May.
In addition to our beginner course, we will be hosting an advanced course, exclusively for those who took part in last year’s Intermediate workshops. Building on the skills you developed last year, these sessions will help you to take the next step in your writing practice, with your short story being published in an anthology at the end of the course.
Courses will take place on Fridays (1 May, 8 May & 22 May) and are a block booking for three sessions at Colliers Wood Library. They will run from 10am to 12 noon. £60 for three sessions with free places available to residents in the CR4, CR7, SM3 and SM4 postcodes.
The advanced course will be led by Tim Atkins, an internationally published author and Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Roehampton. Tim is a hugely experienced and award-winning teacher of imaginative writing who has helped hundreds of writers unlock their storytelling potential.
“Tim was an excellent guide. His style of teaching was informative and engaging and he made the sessions fun.”
NB: This workshop is only open to those who have completed last year’s Intermediate creative writing workshops. For Beginner’s courses, see here.
