Bird School: A Beginner in the Wood

Join acclaimed writer Adam Nicolson for Bird School—a revelatory talk on the ways birds can transform how we see, hear, and live in the world around us.

Drawing on philosophy, literature, science, and his own deep love of the natural world, Adam pulls back pulls back the curtain on seemingly ordinary birds, reconsidering our relationship with the wild.  From the skylark’s song to the rook’s intelligence, he shows how birds are not only messengers of wildness but also profound teachers—encouraging us to rethink our relationship with nature, attention, and community.

Adam will be in conversation with David Shriver, communications expert, commentator on business and society, and a VC of Wimbledon BookFest.

‘Bird School is a feast for mind and soul, a treasure trove of insights into the enigmatic and enchanting world of the birds we share our lives with but barely notice.’
