Magic, empowerment, fighting back against an oppressive patriarchy… ‘witch lit’ is having a moment. Come to this panel event to hear why.
Authors Chikodili Emelumadu, Margaret Meyer and Wimbledon local Jacqueline O’Mahony will be in conversation to discuss their novels giving voice to women who face oppression, violence, misogyny, erasement and suspicion, marginalised and scapegoated because of their feminine strength.
Lennie Goodings, chair of Virago Press and author of A Bite of the Apple: A Life with Books, Writers and Virago will be chairing this panel event. Lennie has edited and published writers including Maya Angelou, Margaret Atwood, Sarah Dunant, Natasha Walter, Marilynne Robinson, Sandi Toksvig and Sarah Waters.
