Book tickets

Two bestselling historical fiction writers escape into the worlds of Tudor crime and 17th century pirates.

Kate and S.J. will be talking about their new novels Alchemy and The Ghost Ship. Alchemy is the new gripping historical crime thriller following the renegade monk, philosopher and heretic Giordano Bruno,  as he uncovers dark mysteries and plots in Tudor England and Renaissance Europe. The Joubert Family Chronicles continues with The Ghost Ship: a thrilling novel of adventure and buccaneering,  love and revenge, stolen fortunes and hidden secrets on the high seas, inspired by real-life female pirates.

‘Enthralling, thrilling books… There are echoes of C.J. Sansom’s Shardlake series’  –  The Times on S.J. Parris

Jake Kerridge, journalist and critic will be chairing this event. He has interviewed writers ranging from Margaret Atwood to Elmore Leonard.
