Partition Voices

In conversation with Sudha Bhuchar

Saturday 24th September, 1.30-2.30pm

Robert Graves Tent

Award-winning journalist and broadcaster Kavita Puri joins us to discuss the personal stories of the Partition of India, 75 years on.

Revealing a secret history of ruptured families and friendships, extraordinary journeys and daring rescue missions, Kavita breaks the silence and confronts the difficult truths at the heart of Britain’s shared past with South Asia. As well as a BBC Radio 4 programme airing in August 2022, her book is currently being adapted for the stage at the Donmar Warehouse in a co production with Tara Theatre.
