Russia & the Invasion of Ukraine

Mark Galeotti and Sarah Rainsford
Chaired by Prospect Editor Alan Rusbridger

Monday 13 June, 6:30-7:30pm

Baillie Gifford Big Tent

A timely event exploring the long-lasting political impact of the war in Ukraine.

In this special event held in partnership with current affairs monthly Prospect, Alan Rusbridger will lead a discussion about the war in Ukraine and its long-term impact. Unfortunately, Catherine Belton is now unavailable as she has been called away by The Washington Post.

We are delighted to announce that we will now be bringing in Sevgil Musaieva, Ukrainian Editor of Ukrayinska Pravda, for the event via Zoom. Sevgil has covered oligarchy-related investigations, as well as reporting on corruption within the oil and gas industry.
Mark Galeotti: Security expert and author of The Weaponisation of Everything. Mark has briefed audiences from NATO to the UK’s Foreign Affairs Committee and appears regularly on news outlets around the world.
Sarah Rainsford: BBC correspondent in Ukraine, former Moscow Correspondent. Author of I’m Not Your Enemy (pub: 2023)
