The Jhalak Prize celebrates the best of British BAME writing today. Arifa Akbar’s Consumed explores sisterhood, love and loss. Mona Arshi’s Somebody Loves You is the first novel from the acclaimed poet and human rights lawyer. Nikesh Shukla’s Brown Baby is a soul-searching memoir from the trailblazing writer, screenwriter and literary agent who is shaking up the foundations of the publishing world.
