Heather Morris

Fiction: Three Sisters, Love and Survival

Saturday 11 June, 3-4pm

Baillie Gifford Big Tent

£22.50/£17.50

Join the author of the global bestselling novel The Tattooist of Auschwitz to celebrate her astonishing new story, Three Sisters.

The New Zealand author Heather Morris joins us on her UK tour. Her new book Three Sisters is based on the true story of Cibi, Magda and Livia, whose fight for survival takes them from the hell of Auschwitz-Birkenau to a death march across war-torn Europe and eventually home to Slovakia, under iron Communist rule. Determined to begin again, they embark on a voyage of renewal, to the new Jewish homeland, Israel.

The event will incude footage from one of the sisters, living in Israel and explore why the sisters chose Heather to share their story with the world. Heather will share how it felt to be trusted with the reimagination of their story, and how she was uplifted by the courage of and the fierce love between three sisters.

‘Gripping, heart-breaking and uplifting.’ Christy Lefteri
