Join author Sophie Dahl, who will be in conversation with Polly Dunbar, for a joyful event as they explore a hilarious domestic scenario that will be familiar to many parents – and kids
Sophie’s new book The Worst Sleepover In The World, is a playful story exploring the hilarious complications of first friendships and first ever sleepovers. Ramona is having her best friend Gracie to stay the night and she plans to make a den, dance like a wild thing, throw putty on the ceiling, feast on sweets and stay up all night. It will be the BEST SLEEPOVER IN HISTORY. But nothing quite goes to plan and everything is heading for disaster. Will the girls still be friends in the morning? Will Mum ever get to bed?
This event will be chaired by author and illustrator Polly Dunbar, creator of many much-loved books for children, from the Tilly and Friends series which was adapted for TV, the bestselling Penguin, and Red, Red, Red, a picture book which takes an amusing look at the toddler tantrum, a familiar scenario for parents and children, much like a sleepover that goes wrong!
Suitable ages 4+. Children must be accompanied by ticket holding adult (under12 months free)
A copy of the picture book, The Worst Sleepover in the World, is included per pair of tickets (Hb: £12.99).
