The perfect toolkit for connecting with the world around us and celebrating the year ahead as it unfolds in all its various facets, The Almanac: A Seasonal Guide To 2022 reinvents the tradition of the rural almanac for a new audience. Lia’s annual almanac has become an institution with universal appeal. Every month includes a method of navigating using the sun, stars, or moon. Plus, information on eclipses, meteor showers and naked-eye planets. A full tide timetable is given as well as moon gardening methods, outlining which jobs to attempt at different phases of the moon throughout the year.
This workshop will equip you with the tools and inspiration you need to celebrate, mark, and appreciate each month as the year turns. During this workshop, Lia will be focussing on September: the living folklore, the celebrations that mark the autumn season, recipes, gardening tips, songs, and stories from this month. As a part of the workshop Lia will guide participants in making an autumnal posy to take away with them (all materials supplied).
Lia Leendertz is an award-winning garden and food writer. She writes regularly for the Daily Telegraph, The Garden, Simple Things, the Guardian and Gardens Illustrated.
