Everything You Really Need To Know About Politics

In conversation with Stefan Stern
Wednesday 15th September, 6pm

Baillie Gifford Tent

From the sublime to the ridiculous, the inner workings of Westminster are often a mystery to an outsider. Join MP Jess Phillips for a funny and frank discussion as she lifts the lid on the systems and rules that govern us all and tell us what’s really going on in British politics.

From agonizing decisions on foreign air strikes to making headlines about orgasms, from sitting in on history-making moments at the UN to eating McCain’s potato smiles at a black-tie banquet in China, the life of a politician is never dull.

First elected to Parliament in 2015, Jess has faced violent threats and adversity from her rivals but continues to stand up and speak out for what is right. She makes a compelling case why we should care about politics and be a part of it, now more than ever. Join Jess in conversation as she covers everything from life on the campaign trail and party allegiance, to social media and relationships with the press.

A copy of Everything You Really Need To Know About Politics is included per pair of tickets (£16.99)
