Leone Ross, Monique Roffey & Ingrid Persaud
Fiction Event with the Costa Prize Winners
Sunday 13th June 2021, 5.30-7pm
Robert Graves Tent
Transport yourself to the Caribbean in this fiction panel event showcasing three brilliant writers from the West Indies, packed with readings and promising lively and provocative discussions.
Bringing three sensual and socially engaged writers together, Monique Roffey (The Mermaid of Black Conch was the Costa 2020 Book of the Year), Leone Ross (One Sky Day) and Ingrid Persaud (Love After Love the Costa First Novel award winner) join us to discuss how their books speak to each other. This event will cover unconventional love stories, poetic language, a re-imagining of fiction and post-colonialism. Lyrical, fierce and subversive, these writers weave mythology, landscape and feminism into vividly imagined storytelling whilst challenging and revisioning colonial history.
Ticket price includes a copy of one of the writers' books.
