Charlie Corbett 12 Birds To Save Your Life
Sat 12 June 2021, 1.30-2.30pm (also 10.30am & 4.30pm)
Join Charlie on a guided walk and talk through Wimbledon Common which promises to be uplifting and enchanting.
Charlie will identify the birds around you, what they look like, where to find them and what they sound like. It will inspire you to look at the world outside your door with fresh eyes and attentive ears, revealing nature’s ability to ground us and give us perspective. It may even help you decipher the call of a skylark from a robin or even spot a chaffinch.
In 12 Birds to Save Your Life, Charlie show us that there is joy to be found in the very smallest of events. From solitary skylarks to squabbling sparrows, he explores their place in our history and culture. He shows us just how life-changing his decision was to leave a career in the City and reconnect with the natural world he knew from his upbringing on the North Wessex Downs and The Isle of Mull.
