Festival Keynote Speech from award winning journalist, writer, influential thinker and former Olympian Matthew Syed.
To mark the Last Days of Summer Weekend Festival Matthew Syed will be giving the keynote speech, bringing his trademark critical thinking and analysis to discuss heated topics such as colonialisation and where we are as a community in the face of COVID-19.
Matthew Syed is the author of several books, including Bounce, Black Box Thinking and Rebel Ideas. He has also distilled his ideas on mindset, high performance and resilience for a younger audience in You Are Awesome and Dare To Be You. Rebel Ideas is Matthew’s fourth book for adults.
Matthew Syed is a columnist for The Times. He writes a column on sport as well as reviews, opinion and interviews. He has won numerous prizes for his writing, including sports journalist of the year at the British Press Awards and sports feature writer of the year at the Sports Journalists' Association Awards.
A signed copy of Rebel Ideas is included in the ticket price.
