Sir Alastair Cook

In Conversation with Mike Atherton

Baillie Gifford Big Tent

£27.50, ticket price includes a copy of TheAutobiography (RRP £20).

An unforgettable chance to hear from England’s greatest ever cricket player.

Alastair Cook is England's all-time most successful batsman and one of the most gifted players in the world; but in 2018 he played his final game. At 33, Alastair Cook announced his retirement from sport. The English Cricket Team was left reeling and, ahead of the Ashes, on a burning search for a player worthy of his place.

Now, he tells a no-holds-barred, close-up account of his last chapter, his 33rd and last Test hundred, an intimate tale of his life: his family, of the man he is today and the man he will be - after cricket. An icon and a role model, Alastair is lauded as a person as well as a player and this is his never-before-heard story.

This event is being chaired by Mike Atherton, the former England Captain, turned broadcaster and journalist.

This event is sponsored by Robert Holmes & Company.
