Coralie's The Fox and The Star was a runaway success in 2015 and was Waterstone's book of the year. Beautifully created by Coralie it was inspired by the author’s own personal experience, the works of William Blake and graphic designer William Morris and is book that was adored by young and old. The author and illustrator brings her timeless new fable The Worm and the Bird to Wimbledon BookFest. The event will include drawing activities, as well as revealing the secrets behind Coralie’s drawing techniques.
As a book cover designer for Penguin Books Coralie will give a unique insight into life as a writer and illustrator as well as working in publishing and getting published. Her book covers have been recognised by the AIGA (NY) and D&AD (UK) and have featured in a numerous international magazines and newspapers including The New York Times, Vogue and The Guardian. The work she did with Penguin Classics on the clothbound series attracted worldwide attention and harks back to the world of Victorian bindings and a golden age of book binding.
There will be a chance to ask her questions. A perfect event for children and adults alike.
